For one year I worked for AmeriCorps focused on sustainable tourism as an economic driver in rural Appalachia. I ran all digital communications to establish the newly branded Tennessee’s South Cumberland as a national tourism destination known for its waterfalls, mountain views and local flair. I wrote grants for wayfinding signage, built the first comprehensive tourism website for the region and created a placemaking identity for a (stunning) historically economically depressed region of Tennessee through cohesive branding, content development and target marketing.
